Assembling Technologies for the Knowledge Industry
"Renewing information, easing knowledge and planting ideas... the rest is probability."
|
PLASTIA concentrates in the convergence of technologies for developing tailored enterprise solutions. In our approach, modern companies are formed by multiple and diverse resources (humans and machines) that must be suitably connected (regarding information) and properly qualified (regarding knowledge).
Machines can be endowed with new sources of information and employees can be helped to obtain new knowledge. If this basic stage is achieved the next step deals with easing the generation of ideas, the propellant of evolution.
A “solution” is usually shown as an amalgam of new gadgets (digital writing, mobile technologies, embedded systems...) blended with machines (industrial tools, PCs...) that interact appropriately with professionals (collaborative interfaces, knowledge engineering...).
Some key words:
research & development, knowledge engineering, industrial processes, collaborative environments, semantic web, work flow management, supply (value) chain management, engineering service providing, ebusiness, Seventh Framework Programme, MITYC, CIDEM.
