The origins
We are proud to be born in the heart of a heterogeneous and
modest family. Heterogeneous because the initial group of entrepreneurs
was integrated by technology centers, industry associations, individual
researchers... Modest because the company initially addressed the needs
and opportunities of the Spanish plastic processing supply chain, an
industry tissue of SMEs.
Among this initial group some SMEs
associations echoed the necessity of endowing the sector with up to
date information and communication technologies. Other agents pointed
to the opportunities that B2B could entail in such an unexploited
sectorial niche. The sum of these vectors gave rise to Plastia.com, the first Spanish portal for the promotion of B2B in the plastic sector, founded in strategic alliance of several partners: AIJU, ASCAMM, FEAMM, IMAPC, ANAIP, AMEC, Fomento del Trabajo, Plazasite, Oracle and Hewlett-Packard.
